Unfinished Business (CD)
Here Comes Everybody releases their 13th outing, “Unfinished Business,” this spring. The first volume of a possible series of albums, “Unfinished Business” captures unreleased songs and recordings made during the band’s rich and long participation in the Veronica Lodge songwriting collective. During the years that produced HCE’s last three studio albums, Michael and René penned upwards of about 600 tunes, writing six songs on a single day of each month religiously for nearly a decade. The first volume of “Unfinished Business” captures 18 of these “gems that got away.” Fans of the band can expect the signature HCE piano based pop, Michael’s pensive and sometimes irreverent wit, along with some bold experimentation of the sort that only comes, perhaps, when the songs are coming fast and furious, when there’s not a lot of time to second-guess. So the album should contain surprises, for sure. The HCE elves know you will love it.
